As you're driving in to settle in, chances are good you'll see lots of things you want to see and do; its a centrally-located resort that is close to all the fun and sun the Grand Strand has to offer. Its location one row from the ocean's edge is just a beginning. A hop and a skip away, there are live entertainment theatres, acclaimed golf courses and a wealth of water sports. Dining will never be a problem -- unless choosing from so many options is a problem.

If you just don't feel like leaving your home away from home, A Place at the Beach II has its own shimmering swimming pool, as well as an area for outdoor grilling. Always a top draw, the Atlantic Ocean awaits just one street away. The sound of surf and birds are likely to lure you there frequently, which is as it should be. Don't miss a sunrise or several. An important detail is that this three-story resort does not have an elevator. Nonetheless, there are three sets of stairs that lead to the second and third floors. We think that smidge of extra exercise justifies a few more desserts and umbrella drinks throughout the course of your vacation!
